I am seriously looking to buy a 1983 Stingray 19.5 feet cuddy cabin boat with a six cylinder engine. It sits on a tandem trailer that doesnt have brakes. My question is. Can anyone tell me what a set up like this might weigh? My truck has a max tow of 3500# so weight is an issue. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Cuddy Cabin Weight

Nada Guides have a gross weight rating which should get you pretty close. I think you'll probably come in around 3200 with fuel, coolers, etc.

rsc,

Don't even think about towing that rig with your vehicle without trailer brakes.

If the "dry" weights add up to somewhere around 3,000, add another 1,000 for: reality, fluids, fuel, gear, etc.

You're pushing it.

Stingray publishes data on all past models on their website. I just recently boat a 1998 22' cuddy and the weight was on the data sheet on their website.

Even with trailer brakes you should not tow that boat... it exceeds your limits. You need a bigger truck AND trailer brakes.

Bob
