Crazy F1 race

Actually fell asleep on about lap 9 while watching it live last night.

Speed channel replayed it this afternoon and I had it on for background noise while cooking.

The 2nd half of this race was great.

THe action from 2nd to 8th was unbelievable, dozens of passes, crazy passes and pitstops, a first time winner, and the first win for MB in 57? years.

I imagine JB is driving his ML around the yard and giving her the good news.

Sounds like I watched the wrong race. I watched the IZOD series after the truck race at Rockingham. F1 was running at the same time. Also was bouncing to a hockey game during the IZOD.

There is another replay tomorrow at 11:00 am on SPEED. This one is well worth watching if you can. I think there were more passes in the last 10-12 laps than we used to see in a whole season and a lot of them were NOT DRS aided.

I kind of did like roscoe only I started dozing around the 2nd lap. Finally came full awake at lap 38 and then couldn't get to sleep after it was over.

I've really gotten to like Nico. A great racer with a geat attitude. The Merc looked surprisingly strong even though they were never able to use the trick duct during the race. Surprised themselves, I think. Be interesting to see how that plays the rest of the season.

Many folks don't remember Nico's Dad, Keke Rosberg, one of the great ones. Some good genes there.

They might call this a "new" win for MB. MB has been supplying engines for several teams like McClaren, (sp?) (and winning races) for many years.

True JB, but now they own the team and kind of came out of nowhere, or sooner than expected, in the constructors competition.
