Crappie in Orlando

Anyone in Orlando or really the central Florida area know what to do about summer time crappie? I swear its like they vanish until fall and winter.

If you can keep the skeeters off of you, night fishin' for Crappie will be your best bet.

Use a floating or submersible light and live minnows.

Have you tried long line/flat line trolling for them?

I fished that area many times, especially the Harris Chain Of Lakes. This time of the year crappie are spawning and can be found in deeper holes, especially off a point. I used a jig head with a minnow to get the bait down deep.
