could this be whats wrong with my carbs.

i took off both carbs and after inspection i looked at the black thing on bottom of the carb where the line hooks into. i couldnt blow thorugh it. and the other was bad but not at worse as that one. could that be why it will start but wouldnt accerlate in the water or die when throttle was engauged. thanx.

you need to clean the carbs and make sure there is now pluged orifces or jets you may need a fuel pump

i already cleaned them and rebuilt them all thats left is go to the lake and see

after going to the lake and rebuilding the carbs no change. it dies as throttle is engauged.

Had the same problem. Cleaned with no results. Went to an auto parts store and picked up some carb dip. You need to remove all rubber and cork,if any,seals and gaskets. Let them sit,in a bucket or bowl completely covered, over night and you won't believe how much a good "CLEANING" will miss. Good luck and hope this works for you.

Try some basic troubleshooting, TA.<br /><br />What happens if you pump your primer bulb when the engine tries to die?<br /><br />What happens if you squirt some fuel into the carbs?<br /><br />What happens if you pull plug wires?<br /><br />What make, model and year is your engine?
