Hi all,

Getting ready to buy some skis for my 13 tr old daughter to start skiing. She is normal size for a 13 yr old, has no prior experience other than tubing.

Was looking at the below skis, can I get some thoughts please? Thanks in advance.

(1) Hydroslide 46" Fiberglass reinforced, liquid molded training skis with removable training crossbar

(2) O'Brien - Wake Star Trainer Skis

Thanks!

your daughter will need a set of full size ski's to learn on .the trainer ski is for little children , i.e 5-8 year old.also once she has learnt the basics she will have a mono to learn on.get her a nice combo set and she will have those for years to come. hope this helps phill

There ya go, I'm_Still_a_learning ! :)

You might also consider Connelly's 68" Odyssey Combo which comes with a removable stabilizer bar that connects the skis together near the tips to keep them straight, similar to the Hydroslide skis you previously mentioned, but sized appropriately for your daughter..

Heck, Those skis would work good for Mom and Dad too.. :)

I bought those skis (HO 67") last year and they are great. They don't come with the stabilizer bar but have pre drilled threaded holes so you can get one. I took my daughter's friend out for her first time skiing and she got up on the second attempt. She only weighs like 90lbs soaking wet so with the larger skis she was almost half up before I got the throttle moved from taking up the slack. I haven't been able to try them myself since I get to drive the boat :)

-JustMrWill
