After working during the winter fixing the growling noise (gimbal bearing replacement) and a cooling problem (bad antifreeze system cap and pump), things seem to be running well. But here's the question...(keep in mind this system has the antifreeze/lakewater heat exchanger type of system, Volvo 2.1L)... Is it normal for the antifreeze system to stay pressurized after the system is completely cooled down? Two days after testing the boat on the lake I wanted to look at the antifreeze level and was surprised that it still spewed some out of the cap when I unscrewed it and that the fluid was somewhat cloudy in appearance rather than clear like when I put it in. Cooling systems on cars typically lose that pressure when cool. The temperature was steady and at normal level throughout the 1 hour of testing. But, do I still have problems?
