Help, I own a Starcraft Islander MK IV with a omc 6 cyl gm. When the engine is idling the unit stays cool but when I accelerate to approx. 25 mph the temp guage starts rising rapidly. I installed a clear hose from the water intake to the engine to check for flow. At low peed the hose is full of water and as I increase speed I start to notice air bubbles in the hose. Again when I slow down the temp drops and the air bubbles are gone. When the temp guage goes over 225 deg I have felt the hoses and they only feel warm or normal to me. Can anyone help please?

Re: Cooling at high speed

When was the last time the impeller in the drive was replaced?
