converting 8hp mercury to remote

I want to convert a 8hp Mercury long shaft s/n ob103614 I believe about a 1985-1987 model to remote. I don't think the stearing will be a problem. The shifter and fuel control is were I need help. Also help with the el. (picture or diagram). Thanks for any help.

You will have to go to a Mercury dealer and they will have a kit that contains the parts to convert the engine, it comes with a instruction sheet, be sure to box up the parts removed and keep the for a later time.
