Close friends loose a fine family friend

Good friends of ours lost a life long friend of theirs in Iraq. http://www.corpsman.com/2008/07/spc-william-mcmillan-iii-us-army-kia-08-july-2008-iraq/
I did not have the pleasure of meeting him, but met his parents on several occasions. They spoke of his commitment and dedication to this country, and the fact he knew "we" were doing the right thing in Iraq. The void he leaves behind may never be filled.

Mine too, I just got out of the Navy in Apr. Miss some of it, just not all of it. The military is not for everyone and it sounds like this was one of those men that was made for it. My heart is definately with his family.

I find it more and more difficult as I get older reading about our hero's.

These were everyday regular military people who never hesitate to offer a hand or work together...... people that any of us would call a friend. I hate to lose a friend and comrad.

My heart and thoughts go out to the family.

Sounds like he was a great young man. I'm sorry for another life lost way too soon, and for a grieving widow and family.
