Anyone live close to Clearwater, Fla.<br />Am thinking about buying a motorhome down there and was needing someone to go look at it for me. HE!HE! J/K<br />Serious though, I am thinking about coming down and buying one and thought that if any of you good members lived close, we might get to meet although it would be a quick meeting cause I would want to get started back ASAP.<br />Let me hear from you Clearwater folks.

Nah... Derwood's up the road a bit... Sumpter county is where I-75 and the Florida turnpike meet up near a town called Wildwood...

Oh well..But it's just as well, I live about 100 south of clearwater...and it aint that clear, so you aint missing a thing( too close to Tampa).

Yea, I lived in Tampa for a couple years. Hated it when it rained and all the water standing every where.

I am about 70 miles + or - north of clearwater....and I can't say that I'm not glad that I am that far away.<br /><br />But......there are some nice places to fish down that way.<br /><br />I get down to Tampa Bay about once every 2 months....I have never seen as much live bait (greenbacks/sardines) in one spot than at the skyway bridge....Thats why there are so many monsters down that way.<br /><br />I did'nt catch any fish this weekend....but I saw some nice snook hitten close to me and a 6 ft long cobia.....never seen one that big before....he was so big that IF I would have hooked him....and belive me..I was trien....He would have just stolen my line from the reel with out even blinken.<br /><br />Still would have been fun though.<br /><br />And of coarse....there was nobody there with me to see it.<br /><br />Thats twice now in one spot....less than 30 ft from each other....that I have seen a world recoard fish (or as close as you can get without winnen) swimming by with no camara all by myself.<br /><br />The first was a Spotted Sea Trout....no one would belive me if I said how big....I almost don't belive me (almost....but I saw it) but The eyes don't lie to the slack jawed, non prepared, kick yourself in the a$$ for not being ready fisherman.<br /><br />So thats where Leigh achers FL is....I was wondering about that....I needed to know how much gas I was going to need to get some more shady supplys....All at a five finger discount of coarse....buddy ole pal.<br /><br />Coarse I'll have to butter up sloopy to get your house plans and daily routine....He's a stalker ya know.<br /><br />Tofarnorthwood.

Tampa isn't really that bad..."Bad" is Matanzas pass at Fort Myers Beach..(live-aboards, boats don't move for a year or so---yuk).<br />Not much getting ripped off down here, Clearwood, but if you have a Yamaha motor, you aint safe south of Myakka River! Seemz the thieves love them Yammies . It reallt is a problem, and the law mens can't get a grip on these thefts!

Glad I got a Merc... It's so ugly I probably could'nt give it away, but it runs so who cares... <br /><br />A word of warning... If ya'll can avoid it, stay away from West palm, Miami, Ft. lauderdale...<br /><br />If I thought I could move my buisness and "make it" somewheres else, I'd be outa here like shot out of a gun.... This place is growing so fast it'll make your head spin... If ya don't go somewhere for a week and then go back, they'll have tear'd something down or put something new in it's place.... Least it seems that way....

Samey-same here, Snapper. I guess it's a statewide thing. The "bitter half" and I are pondering a move north. Gonna drive slow in the hammer lane.<br />With the right turn signal flashin <br />But when you can literally smell the air, it's time, man.
