gday to all, just purchased a chrysler 55hp model no 559h8k can any of you very helpful people tell me what year this motor is maybe 78 and what the k means if anything. this motor is leaking fuel out the water intake after it has been running also leaking out front of carbys into intake shroud ? was jumping out of gear in foward under load pulled l/u apart to find wear on one face of selector dog and face of foward gear,i reversed selector put rounded side to reverse gear and is working fine under full load, will replace selector & gear later just happy to be on the water. does this motor charge a battery doesnt have alternator and what could be the fuel problem any advise greatly appreciated
