If your block is cracked it has to either be replaced or sleeved.
A competant engine machine shop should be able to sleeve it, but sleeves can shift and cause problems down the road.
The best way is to replace the block. It should be a marine grade block. You will have to rebuild the engine either way and with a new or used block replacement, you will also have to change all the pistons in order to get the right clearances.
The last possibility is to buy a complete new or used engine.
Its to bad you will have to go through this, but engines have to be winterized. Good luck.

CHECK W/ AN "ADVANCED ENGINE" DEALER(THEY USE RECON ENGINES) IN YOUR AREA..I PICKED UP A FORD 302, REBUILT AND DYNO-TESTED FOR 929.00...THEY EVEN DELIVER!! SOMETIMES IT'S EASIER TO JUST DROP A NEW ONE IN, RATHER THAN RE-BUILD YOURSELF
