Caught a mess of fish

Went out today, finally since now all the rain has stopped. Caught a mess of Bluegill, a few Whitebass and a couple Crappie. Final count, I cleaned 38 Bluegill that were a minimum of 8 inches long and 2 Crappie the where about 12 inches.<br /><br />How is the fishing in your neck of the woods?

Glad to hear someone is catching fish...<br /><br />The fishing round here is pitiful... (cause I'm a sorry excuse for a fisherman) <br /><br />Hooked and lost a decent slot sized snook friday night, and missed two more good strikes... What's even worse is snook season closes in a week or so and I have not put one on the table yet this season...

Hey Nathan... glad to here fishin is good is springdale....also good on Table Rock! Caught 2 large mouths (keepers, but nothing to talk about) and 4 channels....Ate good tonite!

Hey Nathan: Let me know if you plan on heading north anytime soon, or for that matter any good fishin down that way. Table rock is usually the most south I travel.... but will consider going further. What do you know about a lake called (Northcutt?) or something like that south of bull shoals around Mt.home?........ Are you going to the iboat meeting (party) at the Lake of the Ozarks in Sept?

I think you are talking about Norfolk Lake? Yes I hope to be at the iboats get together, hopefully I will have my boat finished by then. If you want to go fishing give me a holler.

Yeah...Norfolk I was told its very quiet down there even on holidays.....is that true? and is the fishin any good ?

Yeah it is a nice lake, I dont think that they allow PWC's or Skiers on that lake, but Im not for sure.<br /><br />I have heard the fishing is great there. <br /><br />Here is the fishing report from the AF&GC:<br /><br />Lake Norfork: Cranfield Junction Quik Stop said crappie fishing is good with minnows, tubes and grubs. Anglers are catching some schooling bass by using topwater baits. Bass are also hitting jigs and worms. Stripers are on the surface in the early morning and the late afternoon. Catfishing is good with live or stink bait. Walleye fishing is fair with nightcrawlers or trolling with crank baits.

Sounds like a nice place.... is it a Army corps of engineers lake? or are there resorts and so forth?...is there any HP limits? whats the non-resident fee for a fishing license? yeah I know.....alot of questions, but a friend reccomended it and so far I'm getting a good report from you.

<br /><br />Fishing was good to me this weekend. Specks out the wazoo in Rockport,TX.<br /><br />Largest one of the weekend was 26", largest one in the pic is 23". Smallest is 15", which is out legal limit.<br /><br />I hope to head back to florida this summer and try to land a few snook!<br /><br />Shawn

Glad u all can catch em down there. i threw everything i could think of at dem rocks this saterday but got near a strike. Musta seen 5oo on the finder though. But i wasnt alone alotta complaining on the VHF.

ShawnQ, that's a fine catch you've got there... When's dinner? <br /><br />Nathan, those are Spotted Seatrout (saltwater), and absolutely one of the finest eating fish on the planet, in my humble opinion...
