Catfish bait?

I was out bass fishing this morning on the Susquehanna river. We were using a Cotton Cordell Big O silver crankbaits with some KVD fish stick smeared on them. We caught a number of nice smallies but I was very surprised when we started catching catfish also. Has anyone had any similar experiences?

Catfish will hit literally anything so if it happens by their mouth you are going to hook them

ive caught a catfish on a jerkbait as well as a fly

I agree when i was a kid we belonged to this campground that had two little lakes and we would catch cats while crappie fishing with jigs and rubber tails. We kept on in a 100 gallon fish tank and that thing would eat anything, it was kinda cool.

Catch them all the time on a crankbait. Even catch them from time to time on spinnerbaits. My next goal is to catch one on a plastic worm.
