I ordered a carb kit for my 1976 105 Chrysler with tillison wb24 carbs and a small brass washer about the 1/8 inch across and a small rubber "o" ring came with the kit..I tried to install these in the air adj screw assembly but they will not fit there..Where do these parts go? also the kit instructions say to drill out the welch plug and replace it but this forum has a few posts to NOT do this...any help will be greatlly appreciated...
thanks

Re: carburatpr kit parts

If the carb is EXTREMLY dirty.gummy, varnished etc. you DO need to remove the welch plugs.
Just a bit of dirt and it can be cleaned with spray cleaners.
The plugs need a special sealer to re-install.Permatex and sillycone won't work.
The o-ring could go on the butterfly shaft or in the needle valve seat.
How small is the washer and the o-ring?Pics.
These kits were made to service a bunch of carbs. You might not need all the parts.
Profile?? Fill it out you might be close to someone who can help.J

If the brass washer has a small center hole and is closer to 1/4 inch than 1/8 and the rubber o ring is relatively square with possibly a small lip on one side, these go into the inlet needle seat. Unscrew the brass seat. Brass washer goes into the hole in the carb casting. (Remove old one first) Rubber o ring sets into the recess in the bottom of the seat. (pull out the old one) If it has a lip, the lip goes toward the needle. Now screw in and snug down the brass seat.

OR: If it is a regular washer and o ring with about a 1/8 hole in it, then it spaces the choke pull rod on the pivot at the choke arm on the carb. Pivot goes into the pull rod loop, then through the arm, ring goes over the stub shaft, washer over the shaft, then cotter pin holds everything. OR: Pivot goes through the arm, then the pull rod loop, oring, and washer go on. I forget the exact order but I think the first is correct.

Re: carburatpr kit parts

Thank you ever so much...I have not put this carb back together because I was hoping for a reply to my question. I do believe the O-ring and the brass washer do not go in the needle seat as they are larger than the threads on the needle and will not allow the threads on the needle to start . I will asemble this without any seat at all and let you wonderful folks know how it worked out.
again thank you much
