carb repair kit: OMC vs other?

I am planning to clean and rebulid the carbs on my E150STLCEM and notice that there is a Sierra repair kit (18-7046) that "replaces" the OMC kit (OEM 0398526). Does anyone know the differences, if any, between these? I noticed that the Sierra kit does not contain a replacement float-- does the OMC kit have this, and is it necessary to replace the float on a rebuild?
Thanks in advance for any and all advice on this! d:)

I would go with the OMC kit. It is better quality.

The OMC kit includes the float so I just change it as a matter of course.

Sounds like the best plan---I appreciate your advice. If I still have you on the line-- this engine had the VRO system detached before i bought it---however, the VRO2 pump is still in place in the fuel line. Is there any reason why I should not just remove the pump and connect the fuel line straight to the fuel manifold? It seems like there is more chance for leaks, etc., with the pump still in line but disconnected.
Thanks beaucoup!!

That pump is also the fuel pump. You can't just go straight to the carb's.
