Can someone please help me hook up my quicksilver throttle controls?

Do both cables go on the ends that have screws in them? Which one goes on top of the other? I know what cable is for throttle and which for shifting but i can't seem to figure out where inside the control box they go, even with shifting the lever forward and reverse. Thank you guys for the help.

You need to experiment a bit. I would bet that the shift cable goes on the inside lever, and the throttle cable goes on the outside lever, both on the bottom of the control. The top connectors are possibly for an OMC product, since their throttle cable is a push for throttle advance, and Merc's is the opposite.

is there a way to convert a newer style merc control box to push for throttle?

I am guessing here but move the lever, and the part that moves first is your shift lever.
