buying 1st boat

I am new to this site and actually new to the boating world. I am looking to purchase a lunker 165 cs alumacraft. Based on price i can go with a 25 or 30 four stroke or a 40 yamaha 2 stroke. the 30hr does not have power trim. I have no idea about engines. is a 25 going to push water.<br />thanks in advance

Get the largest motor you can afford. I have yet to hear of someone complain about to much power on there boat.

Get max HP for boat if you can afford it. Not only will you be happier with boat. If you resell it later, it will bring more $$$ plus be easier to sell. Also, power tilt/trim is nice to have.<br /><br />BL...
