Bunks?

I have a 14 ft. flat bottom and I am finishing up replacing about everything on the trailer and the time has come to put the new bunks on. I was wondering if the bunks should be level from front to back? or maybe a little uneven with the low side to the back? The bunks have two fixed points on the trailer (no pivot). The lowering the back thought came to me to help load the boat as well as helping let it drain but I am not sure if that is the best idea..

Thanks for the help
Kevin

Re: Bunks?

While towing, = trailer frame parallel to level ground with trailer connected to tow vehicle; I like to have the keel run a little downhill to the stern. That way we don't collect rain water in the boat while on the road -- I tow about 6,000 miles/year.

I block the tougue way up when the trailer is not attached to the boat.

Nick in Spartanburg, SC
http://www.geocities.com/jeff_nicholas/BBR.html
