I have a set of fiberglass telescoping outriggers. I towed the boat all the way home from the coast yesterday, only to catch one of the riggers in a tree branch in the driveway. It tore the eyelets off of the riggers. These are kind of cheap, they look like eyelets on a fishing rod, lightly welded on a metal band at each place where the pole telescopes. I can't use a screw-in eyelet, because the screw would get in the way of them collapsing. I was thinking of using a soldering gun but I wonder if that would be strong enough. And then there is always..JB Weld. Any ideas or suggestions?
