Brand new SEI Upper Leaking Question

I just purchased a new SE 116 from SEI.
I decided to pressure test the unit before mounting and guess what, It failed.
It lost all but 1 PSI withing 20 minutes.
I was wondering if the seals being dry could cause this or if I should send it back to them for a replacement. It is the upper input shaft that is leaking.
I am just wondering because I was planning on being on the water this weekend but I don't want to put it all back together and have to take it all back apart next week.

If it was assembled dry and tested it will leak. fill it with oil first to wet the seals

That is what I had in mind. I just wasn't sure.
Didn't really see how it could be totally sealed if it was completely dry.
I am going to give it a whirl and see what happens after I fill it with oil.

If it's new....it has a warranty. You really should call them with questions....
