Bow Light Not Working

My bow light is not working. The 3 way lighted pole toggle switch that when its at the down position turns on stern light and the compass light. When its in the full up position it turns on the the bow light and stern light as well as the compass light. That's the way its always worked. When go from stern light down position to full up position the bow does not come on and the compass goes off. Stern light remains on. Very puzzling. Bow light bulbs are new.

sounds like a finicky switch. Until you figure out the problem, go through the same motions each time.

up is navigation or underway, so the bow light is on , stern on and dash is on
, down is anchor , only the stern light is on , on my boat
may need a new switch

Did you check the light socket for corrosion.
