bow down/prop

hey!! 23 ft mako with a 225 evinrude...1987..bow rides way high with a high rake prop--15 x 17...rpms are ok , , a little low but they ar 5600-5700 when i trim up...i want to get a lower/moderate rake prop to keep the bow down..and i can adjust with trim...i take a pounding in the bad weather because i cant put the bow into the waves..going to get tabs but i want to get the prop right first...any suggestions on type of prop----mercury?? powertech?? which model..thanks

Generally a 15 x17 prop is not a high rake prop, depending on what brand and model prop it is. What prop do you have?

If you are considering tabs then you'll want them first, then a different prop. Tabs may change which prop you need.
