Most likely a torque list. Since the prop turns clockwise the resistance causes the boat to lean in the oposite direction. Often triming the motor out more will pick up the bow and help reduce this lean. Aluminum boats are most prone to this list. And any permanent planing device such as a hydrofoil can push the bow down at cruising speeds and induce a torque list.

Make sure your anode is present and in good condition, and if so, try adjusting it (the little aluminum tab immediately above the propeller) a bit to the right. This little tab can surprisingly compensate for some of this, and it's the reason the tab is adjustable.

Normally they are just above the prop, looks like a small rudder with a bolt going through the centre. loosen the bolt and turn the fin.

I don't know if your OMC has one, post your question in the I/O section, those boys will help answer your question.

Aldo

duh,,,, trimming the drive did help a bit.. now its not such a drastic lean. How far up can you trim the outdrive without causing damage to the drive itself??? Thanks

Trim up until boat starts to porpoise, back off a little.

You also might want to consider a set of trim tabs depending on age and condition of the boat. They are used to level the boat and get it on plane faster. You can adjust your ride even if you have some larger people onboard (like me!). :)

Was lookin at the drive in some shallow water this weekend and noticed the rudder is pointing slightly off to the left. Should i center it???

Probably wouldn't hurt to center the trim tab ("rudder"), but that is probably not the cause of your problem in the first place.

You should probably try to lift the bow as far as it goes by trimming the drive out as far as to make the boat porpoise, then in some. And, as several folks have advised, add trim tabs; any kind of tabs will serve but you seem like you'd appreciate the ease of use of the Smart Tabs. Make sure your balance out the load on board if you can. Good luck to you.
