boat seat help!!

i have a mako 228 with 2 pedestal seats...my dad is a really , really, big guy and evan tho the pedastal seats are installed properly ( bolted to deck), they flex alot when we hit waves...im worried that its going to fail and hell get hurt...any way to support the seat or any other types of seat that would be more sturdy?

Extra strong mounting bases need to be installed. Some people have epoxied an extra layer of 3/4" ply to spread out the load and give an extra thick mounting surface
