I have a 89 omc cobra outdrive. I backed the skeg into the ground in my drive way and the boat leaned to the left when on plane. I put a new skeg on it and it still leans. what can i do to fix this problem. It did not do it untill i hit the skeg. I can fix it on plane if i shift alot of weight to the right side. any ideas guy. all awnsers will help me at this point

Pictures of that skeg? Not convinced that it is the skeg my own self. I think it is prop torque which is normal . . . Wierd that is started with the damage though.

Trim tabs will fix that, but the fact is if you turn the prop one direction the boat tends to lean the other, that's one of the reasons most boats have the helm on the starboard side to counteract that torque to port.

BTW, welcome to Iboats.
