What is a good outfit for water skiing. In terms of boat and outboard combo. I thought a Fletcher arrowflight with a 90HP Two stroke. any suggestions on other boats and outboards I will consider 4 stroke but I think that 2 gives you more power through the speed range any suggestions on other decent boats are much apreciated

Re: Boat info

prophead, You will want to pull a water skiier (two skiis) at about 28 MPH. A salom skiier should be pulled at 32-36 MPH. Consequently the boat needs to run 38-40 MPH range without a skiier, to have the proper power for water skiing. If your fletcher is about 18' long or less, with a moderate vee hull (or less vee), and not too heavy, you should be OK. Choose a prop which allows the motor to easily reach it's WOT RPM.<br />4 cycle motors are fine for skiing, provided they achieve the performance parameters I have outlined.
