Black glob floats when starts

I have a Yamaha F225 and was skiing this w/end. I noticed for the first time ever that whenever I would start the engine, a glob of something black would come out floating. It is coming out of the prop exhaust. Has anyone seen this? What is it? Does it mean "take me to the shop"? Thanks to all!!!

its most likely just carbon. it is the exhaust ya know. and if you remove the air box prior to tilting the motor you will see all kinds of nasty in the intakes. no worries <br /> good luck and keep posting
