bilge foam

most of my bilge flotation has broken off and I've pulled it out. Do I need to replace it? 17' 1970's trihull.

Have to? No. Although it does add some structural support to the hull, *and* it allows the boat to stay afloat if swamped, the "foam police" won't come get ya!<br /><br />-Roger
