Mostly offshore fishing. I am working with friend on this boat. 97 cape horn with a 85 yammy. In smooth water the boat will run up to about 5200 wot trimmed all the way out. It crusies at 4000 trimmed well. The problems is we are not in smooth water. Having problems keeping on plane (have a fin)
what would be the best all around prop for this setup (I did not look to see what he has on it now)

Ahoy Wesal1. Sounds like you are pretty close on the prop you have. You should be able to pick up about 400rpm at w.o.t. by dropping a couple of inches off the pitch. That should also improve your accelleration. Being able to stay on plane at cruise is at least partly a boat issue. How big is that Cape Horn and what is it rated for?

JB
