I live in Lufkin, Tx (Hudson actually for anyone who knows the area) and am looking for some good places to fish. I'm thinking about buying a boat from a coworker's dad and am trying to plan out my attack for when I get it or another boat. Sam Rayburn is not too far but I've heard that the North end may still be a little low. I know that Angelina River and the Neches River are also close but I'm not sure of anywhere to put in. Do any of you guys know the area and what might be a good location? Also, any recommendations for the best way to come home with a boat full of fish are welcome. I've mostly bass and crappie fished in the past but would like to try for some catfish or whatever else I can get. Let me in on some secrets if you know of any.
