Berkley Hatchery formula trour nugets have hardened

Bought a few packs of Berkley Powerbait Hatchery formula trout nuggets in the late fall. Bags are still sealed but the nuggets have hardened and look oily. It's the cheese formula. Anything I can do to softened them. ? Tx

Good chance those are based on starch or some other natural semi-branched polymer, and have undergone retrogradation. No way you'll get them factory fresh, but a few seconds in the microwave might soften them up enough to use.
