Been gone 20+ years...I'm back. Question--removing mold/crap from an old boat

I don't know the year--I figure if I can find the serial number, I can determine the year. Looking at replacement decals; my best guess is '76, but mine are so faded it's hard to say.

But again, mine is so faded there is no blue or red as in the pic.

There is nothing on the transom bracket, I'll check again for steering/swivel, but that is part of the transom bracket and I looked at every square inch. I will look for/at freeze plugs next.
