Hey guys I posted this in the Trophy section and got no response, just hoping to see if anybody here is a little more helpful.

Anybody know the history of Trophy Boats. As far as I have heard, Trophy was originally Bayliner. Thats pretty much all i know. I own an 1987 18' center console. The original owner called it a Trophy, yet it had Bayliner stickers. I have no idea, does anybody else.

Thanks, Marcus

Re: Bayliner/Trophy History

Originally all Trophys were Bayliners and tagged as such. A few years ago, I don't remember exactly when the Trophy line was separated from Bayliner and has become its own line of boats.

They may still be built in Bayliner factories but they are no longer badged with the Bayliner name.

Hope this is of some help. The 87 you are looking at is a Bayliner Trophy.

Re: Bayliner/Trophy History

My BAYLINER dealer sells TROPHY's and I beleive that it says in small print under the TROPHY logo "By BAYLINER"

TROPHY boats are BAYLINERS "dedicated" fishing boats!

They are built for nothing other then fishing. They are NOT a fish and ski or a cruser or pleasure yacht they ARE a fishing boat built with the BAYLINER quality we have all come to know and love!
