I live on long island and im looking for a new boat/motor to get me out next year..Im more oe less llokinf for a project boat and im not to concerned with replacing a deck or rewiring gauges or other electric..I dont really know alot about the hull of a boat , if its a good make or not..i came across a reasonably priced 1984 trophy cuddy cabin..its 21 feet...any thoughts on this boat..i ve heard that they are very solid boats to the worst boat ever made...thanks

Well........ yes that (1984) was not a stellar year for the construction of those boats.

The one you are looking at may be perfect but it will require a good inspection.

Take a peek at the restoration section for some hints on looking for wet foam, damp wood and soft decking.
