battery size type????

I need 2 new batteries for my 23 foot mako...I have a 1985 evinrude 225 hp...i have a dual battery selecter switch but in past have used 2 deep cycle batteries...I realize that i shoul have a starting battery and a deep cell for electronice/lights...any i dea what size battery would be sufficient for the starting battery and the deep cell...I want to get it right this time

Get the largest size that will fit. Larger usually means greater capacity (but check the specs!). A deep cycle will start your outboard just fine as long as the motor, starter, and wiring are in good shape, so no worries there. Or you cold get a dual purpose battery for starting.
