Hello all.

I thought I asked this question somewhere but I can't seem to find it now.

My boat is 1999 Cobalt 292. Currently have 350 Mag MPI with B1.

I'm getting new engines (twin 6.2L 350HP) and I have a pair of B3. I'm thinking about swapping them with the B1's.

Question is, what's the main advantages of having B3 vs B1?

TIA

Ayuh,..... No 1st hand experience, but anybody I've known that has run both, the B3 is miles ahead of a B1,....
No prop walk, great power, just no downfalls,....

If set up correctly the b1 will be faster at top end, and have less propensity for corrosion. However, boats spend about 5% of their time at top speed. I would stick with the b3 for greater grip, better low speed control, etc.
