Re: Atlanta Boat Show

I went with my wife and boys, we had a good time. I picked up some information, got a few ideas.

The highlight, or not, was looking at the new Sea Ray's and thinking that the "new" boat that would be like mine, I like mine better! However not to waste the chance we continued to look at the other boats there. Well I told my wife to keep an open mind and find the one that she really likes. Well after about 5 different models we both settled on the Sea Ray 250 SLX! It is a REALLY nice boat. Lots of room, very nice layout, great storage, MAN WHAT A GREAT BOAT! Price...$90,000+:bolt:

Well I guess for now I will just add another layer of wax to my current boat and maybe even a new prop and some LED lighting...See you on the water!

Re: Atlanta Boat Show

in 4 to 5 years I hope to still have my current Sea Ray however it will be time for a new truck!

Rooster, I have to know something, a pontoon with a 250, what is the top speed of that thing and what is a good crusing speed. I have to admit I enjoy being on a pontoon however the ones I have been on have like a 40hp max!
I have always wanted to show up at a big bass fishing event with about a 24' pontoon, shade, grill. Fishing all day in the sun while sitting on a "bicycle" seat may look cool, but trust me, it's not!

48 - 49 mph w/ a very light load aboard, but we usually cruise 25 - 30 mph. Boy, I'd love to make a run to Lake Lanier one day.
