My wife and I are planning a dive-sail trip from our 23 foot sailboat in late Feb. Although we plan to enter at North Bimini and do some diving there -we plan on anchoring out, exploring the dive sites the ambience and slowly working our way down to the southern Biminis. It looks from my maps that there are no "set achorages" on these southern islands, but our boat is small with a centerboard, and only 19"draft with board up,and we have a very large oversized delta anchor as well as 2 smaller anchors for sand. We have a lot of anchoring experience in tight spots and have probably spent about 15 weeks total Island hopping in the Keys, but mostly exploring the northern Sea of Cortez((as far as our ocean experience-10 years sailing and racing-30+ years diving). Has anyone been down to these islands, what' :) s the anchoring like, the diving,do you think we're ging to have trouble finding anchorage? Thanks for the help.Saildivers.
