Just wondering, I think my boat was set up for salt water. It has anodes everywhere on the out drive. If I'm NOT planning on using in salt water should I replace all of them or what ones are necessary? and next thing I pulled the whole out drive to inspect gimble bearing and bellows they are good. I then split the upper from lower to replace water pump. Can I install the upper and still pressure test the lower with the upper on the boat?

Re: Anodes

Ayuh,... Anodes are for fighting Electrolysis, not just saltwater...

Replace whichever are eroded...
If they're not decaying, don't worry about 'em...

A pressure test should be done on the Complete outdrive, without oil in it...
