Happy 4th to all.
In the process of replacing the belly fuel tank in my 1990 Bayliner 2651. It’s a 55 gallon tank. The tank has been removed and is definitely past its prime. Looking at prosmand cons on what to replace it with. She is a trailer queen and will not be left in a slip for he season. Any comments on he major differences in plastic vs. aluminum? Ive been looking online and would like some feedback from this group.

IMO, larger tanks are better off as aluminum, because there can be more internal structure to the tank for strength and baffles.

A 55 gallon tank might be on the edge as to when you want to go aluminum.
