I had a bimini top installed by a dealer when we purchased our sea ray last year and when we lowered the top the rear support poles scratched the aluminum window frame on both sides.I don't think they had any experience installing biminis either unfortunately.I wish they would have installed side mounts so the poles wouldn't have rubbed on the window frame when they were lowered.

Now we leave the rear support poles up except for when we are are traveling long distances. Any ideas on how to either remove the scrathes or perhaps cover them up with a piece of scratch resistant material?

Sounds like they installed a "generic" bimini top.
