I was inspecting my alternator wiring to see if there was a 'S' terminal to see if I could increase my charging voltage, anyway, this is what I found.
The big orange wire going out of the alternator has been cut and another wire (red) connected to it.
I found that originally, the orange wire was going to the relay box, and now, the red wire seems to go directly to the +12V circuit.
I'm wondering if this has been done because of a defective relay box or it's a modification for whatever reason.
Are those relay boxes known to go bad?
Should I be concerned or I leave it like that?
