Have a slight leak in one of my cylinders, debating rebuilding vs new cylinders.

a couple of questions

not a fan of non oem parts but any one have first hand experience with SEI trim cylinders? I assume given cost diff vs merc they are not as durable? Oems lasted 19 years….

merc makes a seal kit or o ring kit (25-87400 A2), and 87399A3 overhaul kit.

do i need both kits or are seal kit parts in the overhaul kit? Will the seal kit have the end shaft seal that is leaking on mine now. Given the oem overhaul kit price +$300) i was leaning towards just getting new cylinders ….

anyone have a spanner wrench model that works ?
thanks

I used these guys for my VP kits. https://five-star-marine.myshopify.com/

I also got my pin-spanners on Amazon.
Thanks for the tip they doent seem to offer much in way of mercrusier items only the gland nut, which is where i have the leak.
looking at it today, the shaft coming out has a weird discoloration or spots on the chroming different from the other side that is not leaking.
i think im just gonna bite the bullet and buck up for a new cylinder as I dont trust the shaft.
