alpha gen I. I have taken the drive apart because of shift problems and found the foward gear clutch jaws were rounded off. Is there anywhere i can get just the forward gear without buying a set of gears because i can't seem to find that anywhere. if so is there a part number?

Re: alpha drive

Well you didn't post the serial number but THIS might be what you're talking about.

Otherwise Ebay might be a good place to get used parts....

Re: alpha drive

sorry i didn't post a serial number, any number that was once on the drive is long gone, i know its an alpha one, a new style but not a gen II. that list you sent me is the one, number 62 in the picture is it but it says please call and i'm sure i will have to get a whole set. i'll have to try e-bay like you said

Yeah....you could also go to Mercury Parts Express too.

Your other choice would be to investigate a new Sterndrive Engr drive or a used one.
