Was out recently in very green blooming water (like green paint) now my white painted aluminum boat is stained. Any good suggestion on removing the staining. I haven't tried anything yet except simple green which didn't work. I was going to try a bleach mixture next, but thought I would try here for suggestions.
Thanks

Try Wesley's Bleech-White... I used it to clean boats & hard stains for years. Plus it is safe!!! Can find it at any Wal*Mart or Parts stores!!! Can buy it by the gallon at SAM's Wholesale if it works for your problem.

:D

Try cut in half lemons. Not lemon jiuce, but real lemons. Work great on water stains on fiberglass boats - just might work on the aluminum also!

try toilet bowl cleaner. it works wonders. just brush it on with a paint brush, let sit for a few minutes, then rinse off with a water hose.

Re: algae discoloration

don't apply toilet bowl cleaner if there is lots of bare aluminum exposed. Don't leave it on too long,(only a couple minutes) as it is corrosive and will etch bare aluminum.
