Alarm buzzer quit working

I was just checking my temp sensor wires on my 1988 XP150, I turned the key on and touched the tan wire to ground and the buzzer went off for a second or two and then I removed the wire from ground and tried again and it didn’t buzz the second time. I turned the key off and turned it back on again and touched the tan wire to ground again and the buzzer went off for a millisecond then quit.

I kept trying different spots to ground to/ turning key off and on again, as well as tried both the port and starboard side sensor wires and I was unable to ever get the buzzer to go off again. Any chance I blew a fuse or something?

The buzzer was froze up. I hooked straight up to battery and it wouldn’t work. Smacked it around for a minute and she started working again .

There is a joke about the "admiral" in there somewhere but I am not brave enough...

buzzers do go bad, I'd replace it.
