Adding name to boat

Hi, folx. As a proud new owner of a bayliner 16' Capri, I would like to add a name. It's an outboard, so adding to the transom is out of the question. It might go either on the blue stripe on the side or below the stripe on the hull. Anyways, what's the best low budget way about this? <br /><br />I planned on creating the name/logo on my desktop then having Kinko's print it on a clear transparency with a decal adhesive on one side, if such a thing exists. Sure, I could hire a pro to do it, but i couldn't even imagine how much that goes for. <br /><br />Any suggestions?

I got my boat registration numbers done by Delcal; their site seems to be temporarily out of commission, but this site has a list of links:<br /> http://www.aquaskier.com/boat_lettering.htm <br /><br />of which the Super Graphix one has a kind of neat "see your design" feature with different fonts / shadows / slants etc.<br /><br />On my previous boats, I painted my own on -- that works best for me 'cause if I have a specific image I'd like along with the name, I'll have to paint that, anyway, so I just go ahead and paint the lettering, too.<br /><br />My first boat was "Joe Cool" with a joe-cool type snoopy image; then there was "Way Cool" with a similar image, now I've got "Way, Way Cool!" but haven't gotten around to painting yet...<br /><br />Good luck with however you decide to get the name on 'er!<br /><br />-anne

Best one I saw was "Jetty Smasher" written in red spray paint on both sides. It was an old 14 ft deep V jon boat. I still laugh about that one.<br /><br />I think Marinegraphics.com can do this for you.
