I want to install a cylinder temp gauge on my 25hp Yamaha (1987 2 cycle)
Haven't had much luck locating one.
Anyone have a source for a kit, and or sending unit, that bolts to the head?
Thanks, the motor runs like a top, and don't to fry it!

Re: Adding a temperature gauge to outboard questions

There are some companies that make a Z bracket to hold a sensor against the cylinder head and send a signal to a gauge. There are also drill and tap sensors that need to go into the water jacket available on iboats in the store.

If I were in your shoes I would opt for a water pressure gauge. There are some that can be tapped in-line with a tell tale and there are some that require drill and tap into the water jacket.

Scrol down and see other threads related to the same thing.
