I have a 1997 Rinker Captive with a cuddy. As most of you know that are reading this there is a drain in the step down into the cuddy on the outside when the door is closed. It keeps backing up and not acutally draining and we were wondeirng if anyone knows which way this drain goes and how do you clean it so that will drain properly.

Thanks in advance and a picture would be awesome if you have a diagram of the drain system for this boat.

Try a snake for drains or compressed air. The pour some dye down there and see where it goes.

I would use compressed air..but from the through hull fitting side ( be Very careful about how much PSI your putting in there ).

Actually..better yet inspect the through hull drain to make sure there were no outsiders making little homes from the outside.. then blow from the outside to the deck drain ( remove any screens on the deck side ).

If you try to blow a blockage from the feed side all the way out to the drain side you Might encounter a bend in the hose and clog it up more.. IMHO..

YD.
